A graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Political Science, Michael continues to invest in his professional development through various training programs, including Equal Opportunity for Senior Leaders, law enforcement and safety investigations, OSHA-30, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications. Furthermore, he proudly serves as the Michiana chapter president of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association, showcasing his ongoing commitment to giving back.

Over the course of his career, Michael was accountable for millions of dollars in government equipment and operational funding. This commitment to accountability was further evident during his tenure as Deputy Program Manager for Ground Safety in Arlington, VA, where he oversaw critical service level safety investigations with congressional interest. In addition to his military background, Michael actively contributes to local governance, currently serving on the county finance committee. His focus on process improvement and fiscal responsibility aligns with his dedication to ensuring the proper stewardship of taxpayer money.

Married to his wife Emily for 12 years and blessed with a darling daughter, Michael Rose is not only a veteran military leader, but also a dedicated family man. His decision to return to South Bend after retiring from the Marine Corps reflects his eagerness to channel his unwavering dedication to serving his local community.
